From the bus station take the Heanor (H1) bus, which runs along the A608 alight at the second stop after the college - at the top of Church Lane and outside Morley House Farm (the first has the bus-stop on the right for both ways which can be misleading).
This bus leaves every 20 minutes for most of the week (20 minutes on Sundays).
There is a bus stop at the junction of Church Lane and the A608 and the Retreat House is 150 metres down Church Lane on the left.
